Finding a room
To find a room you can register for free at Roomspot. You will receive an account where you can activate filters. As soon as there is a room that meets your needs, you will receive a notification. When you respond to a room, you will receive the contact details of the current residents. To be eligible for the room, it is important that you send them an email with information about yourself. Based on the emails, they invite a number of candidates for a viewing and interviews.
All rooms on campus are allocated through a process called co-optation. This means that the current residents of a group decide who will be the new housemate. It is therefore quite normal that you have to go to an interview (or ‘hospiteeravond’ as it is called in Dutch) a few times before you find a room. It is important that you are yourself, there is always a group home that will suit you perfectly.

Who are we?
Rooms, studios and apartments in Hengelo and Enschede, as well as on campus, are rented out through Roomspot. We offer a showcase of properties for two large housing corporations in Twente that focus on young people and students: SJHT and De Veste. Together with the municipality of Enschede, the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences, our aim is to make it as easy as possible for (prospective) students to find a room.
